Tests/Quizzes: Each unit expect at least one quiz and one test. The material will cover all the information we have covered in the book, notes and supplemental materials.
Homework/Binder: Homework will be assigned daily and should be completed in PENCIL. If a formal assignment is not assigned you are expected to still take at least 15 minutes a night to review over all your notes and old assignments to help prepare you for your next test. Binders will be collected before the end of a unit and a select number of questions will be graded for accuracy. It is important that the day we go over a homework assignment you check your work and make corrections in a colored pen. When looking at your binder at the end of a unit I will be looking to see if you did grade and correct your homework assignments.
Projects/Group work: It is an important life skill to be able to work with others. It is also helpful to learn from others and see how they approach a problem. The class will work in different groups throughout the year on projects and problem solving activities.
We are a community and in order for that community to be successful…
· Follow all School Rules.
· We need to clean up after ourselves and continue to keep the classroom organized.
· Students need to raise their hands during lecture and large discussions to speak or leave their seats so that all contributions can be heard and valued.
· We must to respect one another, any visitors, and all property in order to be sure that we all earn the respect that we deserve.
· Make sure that you come to class with necessary materials and an open mind, ready to learn.
· Only bring bottled water to class no food.
Work together so that we can ALL get the most out of our classroom experience!
